CWWR will miss you Court Will

It was with heavy hearts that we heard about the passing recently of team roper, stock contractor, and friend to all Court Will. Your smile, enthusiasm and kind words for all rodeo contestants, volunteers and spectators will be missed. You were always quick to tell others good job or you'll get it next time. You are gone too soon and will be sorely missed!

Picnic Pavilion New Addition at Rodeo Arena to Honor Community and Pioneers

The Tom and Roz Turnbull Family are making a generous donation of a picnic pavilion at the Gus Darien Arena. The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo Association genuinely appreciates the continued support of the Turnbull Family. Carbondale Wild West Rodeo 2017 Season Starts June 1st -- Don't Miss the Fun!

Carbondale Wild West Rodeo kicks off on Thursday June 1st. It will make you jump for joy. Don't miss out. Come out and enjoy the thrills and spills and fantastic food and be the first to sit under cover on our new covered grandstand. The sound system has been improved, announcers stand rebuilt as well. We are also blessed to be getting a picnic pavilion with roof and more news on this will be coming shortly. Kids of all ages will be sure to have fun.

Contestants Call In For First Rodeo on Tuesday May 30

Carbondale Wild West Rodeo contestants don't be left hanging and not get your entry in for the first rodeo of the season June 1st. Call-ins will be from 6:00pm – 8:00pm each Tuesday, starting May 30, 2017. The entry phone number is 970-923-9270 which is the same as Snowmass Rodeo. Bull Riders, Bronc Riders, Steer Riders and Mutton busters must use the call-in line every week. Open and junior barrel racers who did not compete the previous week and sign up must use the call-in line.

Wishing Drake Groom a Full and Speedy Recovery

The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo Association (CWWR) wishes Drake Groom a full and speedy recovery. Drake is pictured above, heading in the team roping during the CWWR 2016 season. The CWWR board of directors, volunteers and fans are sending best wishes after Drake was injured in an ATV accident in late April. Drake, one of our local, youth rodeo contestants, has been a fixture of the CWWR since he was little, competing primarily in roping events. His family, dad Steve, mother Monica, and sister Laiken all compete in the rodeo.
