Changes to Admission in 2021

The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo is pleased that plans to hold the 2021 Carbondale Wild West Rodeo are moving forward. Your CWWRA board has decided on a few changes to admissions as we plan on the first rodeo since the fall of 2019. At this time we are planning for a June 3rd kick off to the rodeo season. We currently plan on holding the 12 season rodeo. Any changes to the schedule will be posted on this website and facebook. The rodeo will adhere to any current town, county and state Covid-19 restrictions at the time of the rodeos.

Seeking 2021 CWWR Photographer

We are currently looking for a photographer for the 2021 Carbondale Wild West Rodeo season from June 3rd through August 19th. Sam Lipscomb our 2019 photographer is not able to commit to the 2021 season as her family grew in the fall of 2019 with the addition of a new baby boy much to the joy of his older sister and parents. The newest addition isn't quite ready to join the rodeo circuit on a weekly basis.

We apologize for being so tardy in wishing congratulations to Colton Fritzlan, one time young bull rider at the Carbondale Wild West Rodeo and pictured above. We were experiencing technical difficulties during the time and then figured it was old news. Roz Turnbull Memorial Contributions

It is with deepest sympathies we share the news of the passing of Roz Turnbull. She will be greatly missed. Her passion was her family, ranching and the ranching traditions and families of our area. The rodeo was a favorite activity and she cherished watching her son Mat, and grandson Bruce rope. Her grandson Mac as a youngster was a fixture in the calf scramble and he now enjoys visiting with the spectators while helping the 4-H youth sell popcorn or helping the contestants behind the chutes. Roz cheered everyone on encouraging them to do their best.
