Carbondale Wild West Rodeo’s history of capturing photos goes back to 2009. You can see how some of today’s contestants and volunteers have grown up through the years by glancing through our archives on Flickr. The tradition is rich, and we remain committed to digitally preserving these action-packed moments for generations and families to come. Today’s mutton buster could be tomorrow’s American flag bearer!

This position has been filled for the season by 4x returning professional photographer, Paula Wood. As in seasons prior, we still have a few open dates for coverage, as Paula values a collaborative approach to event photography. Minimum requirements: proficiency in Adobe LR or Photoshop, comfortable around livestock, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, willing to work in all weather conditions.
Photos will be used across social media, CWWR website, and CWWR Flickr.
Photographers retain copyright and licensing for their images. We encourage photographers to sell their photos, and their contact information will be listed on our website.
