Come join us for this week’s rodeo with an island flair. Summer is coming to a close and the kids are going back to school. This is one of the favorite rodeos of the season for young and old alike.
It’s been a long stressful summer with the drought and the fires. It can’t hurt to wish for a little tropical climate and the moisture to go with it.
You’ll see cowgirls and cowboys in grass skirts and lei’s, and previous years there’s even been sightings of coconut bras on arena volunteers. Maybe there will even be a muumuu or two. Let’s all get in the groove and celebrate like it’s a luau and end the summer with hope for a wet fall and winter.
Bring your picnic basket or visit Slow Groovin’, Senior Matters, The Creamery, or the 4-H concessions for some tasty treats. We’ll be handing out lei’s so you can join in the fun even if you don’t have any island wear in your closet.
