Carbondale Wild West Rodeo received a Grant for $5,000 recently from the Garfield County Discretionary funds. These grants are distributed quarterly.
The Town of Carbondale is also helping with some of the costs for the planned improvements.
The county grant and funds from the Town of Carbondale will be used for three much needed projects — 1) Getting 110V power to the pavilion and concession area. 2) A new roping chute. 3) A storage shed for rodeo gear, shirts, vests, decorations, flags etc…
The storage shed will help free up room in the very cramped Secretary’s Shed and keep the items safe from the elements. Getting power to the pavilion and concession area will allow for increased activities in that area including the possibility of music and also making life easier for our concessionaires and hungry fans.
A BIG THANK YOU to Garfield County and the Town of Carbondale for your continued support of the Carbondale Wild West Rodeo.
