Invite to Kentucky Derby Party Fundraiser for RFVHC

Thank you for your consideration of supporting the WindWalkers – Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council Kentucky Derby Party. WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy Center is a nonprofit located in Carbondale, Colorado. The RFVHC is a nonprofit representing equestrian objectives throughout Western Colorado and beyond.

We Work For You

The Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council (RFVHC) works with governmental agencies to ensure horse and hiker only trails for a peaceful and enjoyable journey for everyone. We also secure parking for trucks and horse trailers so equestrians can have access to multiuser trails. We advocate for protecting our wildlife by closing certain areas in the winter, where we ride our horses in the summer and fall.  Sutey Ranch & Prince Creek Road access to the 9,100 acres of “The Crown” are two examples of  critical winter wildlife habitat closures, which the RFVHC has helped accomplish. We support equestrian activities such as horse shows, Snowmass and Carbondale Rodeos, the Roaring Fork Hounds Pony Club, the Aspen Riding Academy and other nonprofits.

Our obligations and successes in helping the greater community are not possible without committed supporters such you!

Individuals with challenges who partake in WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy Center achieve goals through a wonderful partnership with horses. While sitting astride a horse, a rider with a [dis]ability is not only gaining confidence and self-esteem while controlling such a magnificent animal, but they are reaping the many benefits that the unique movement of the horse provides. Ambulation, speech, improved range of motion and enhanced muscle tone are just a few of the miracles that take place at WindWalkers.

Supporter

With your support in becoming a Kentucky Derby Party sponsor, together we can continue to build a region and community, where horses remain in our landscape and where all children and families can thrive. Please purchase seats to fill your own table of friends (10), or purchase a seat and join us at the RFVHC Table (6), or buy a four top or an individual ticket for the Community Table. Come celebrate with us for a great party together.

Volunteers

We are also in need of volunteers. We are reaching out to our members asking that in exchange for working at the party, you’ll be our guests for half of the party. Help us make a difference in the lives of many. We want our friends to be a huge part of this very exciting day. We need help for setup on Friday May 5th; then the day of the event, volunteers’ 1st shift starts from 1:30 to 4 pm and the second shift, takes over from 4 to 6:30 pm – which includes the party breakdown.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss a sponsorship or table opportunity, please contact:

Holly McLain at 970 948 2151 [email protected]

Or Marissa Taccia at (817) 944-6622 [email protected]
