Wishing Drake Groom a Full and Speedy Recovery

The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo Association (CWWR) wishes Drake Groom a full and speedy recovery. Drake is pictured above, heading in the team roping during the CWWR 2016 season. The CWWR board of directors, volunteers and fans are sending best wishes after Drake was injured in an ATV accident in late April. Drake, one of our local, youth rodeo contestants, has been a fixture of the CWWR since he was little, competing primarily in roping events. His family, dad Steve, mother Monica, and sister Laiken all compete in the rodeo. His younger brother Dalton is active too, participating in the Calf Scramble. Drake is recuperating from a concussion; and a broken collarbone and foot, both of which required surgery. We are encouraging Drake to take it slow and let the breaks heal properly. Rodeo will be here for you when you are healed completely and the doctor gives the all clear.
