The Strang Ranch is a family owned and run business. It is a working sheep and cattle ranch as well as a busy equestrian center, hosting many hunter/jumper and dressage shows, clinics and daily lessons. It is also the hub of the local Pony Club hosting weekly riding sessions, rallies and fun days.
The Strang Ranch also offers Natural grass fed lamb and beef, and hosts numerous Sheepdog Trials. The USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals have been held at the Strang Ranch for three years.

The ranch lies on 460 acres of irrigated and pasture land in Western Colorado with outstanding views of the Elk Mountain Range, 25 miles from the Aspen Airport.

There is extensive trail riding, a recognized fox hunt, and an extensive hunter/jumper training barn at Strang Ranch Equestrian Center.
