You will be sure to see Rodeo Clowns, Grand Entry presentations and lots of good old fashioned grit and gumption as young and old bring their best to CWWR performances. Contestants will be vying for an All Around Saddle Award to be awarded to the contestant with the most money earned in 2 events. Ranch Bronc Riding continues to be one of our most popular events so we will continue it every other week and for the FINALS with a buckle! Hide Race another of the favorites alternates with Ranch Broncs and is a buckle series as well. .
Our Independence Day, 4th of July Celebration.
Join us July 6th for a star spangled celebration. You will see a lot of flag waving, pride for our country and patriotic decorations. If you get there early you might even get one of the many hand held flags to wave that we give away.
Tomas continues to be all the rave this year on the rodeo circuit and we are super lucky to get him. Cowboy Country Magazine featured Tomas in TOMAS GARCILAZO ~ CHARRO ON THE ROAD on March 14, 2021. This article stated, “The charro who introduced Canadians to a unique lifestyle has taken his amazing skills as a rope handler and horse trainer to the “non-rodeo” world — and won it all. Tomas Garcilazo, a four-time winner of the PRCA Specialty Act Award, has performed multiple times in Canada, most notably at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. Garcilazo won the $100,000 top prize on the “Go-Big Show” on TBS.
Come on out July 20, 2023 for a Special Celebration!!
BE THERE IN PINK
R & A Enterprises is our Tough Enough to Wear Pink Sponsor. They have been sponsoring our TETWP rodeo for several years now and invite everyone to come out and honor those who have fought the tough fight against breast cancer. The Calaway Young Cancer Center at Valley View Hospital has joined us the last few years with cancer survivors riding on a wagon driven by Taylor van Zyl and her wonderful team of horses. We honor all who have fought valiantly this difficult battle, knowing that some continue the fight, some have overcome and some have succumbed. We hope that research can increase the numbers that beat breast cancer all all cancers. A portion of the proceeds goes each year to help fight the fight.
Do you know a family member or close friend whose life was impacted by breast cancer? Chances are you do. You too can join the western community in its efforts to raise funds for the fight against cancer! The Calaway Young Cancer Center at Valley View Hospital will receive a portion of the rodeo proceeds.
Seeking additional sponsors for TETWP! Call CWWRA, President Mike Kennedy at 970-379-3907 for more information.
Join us for a special celebration of cancer survivors at our rodeo on Thursday July 20th at 7:30pm. It’s the western community’s way toward the cure. Come join us in remembering those we have lost to cancer and showing your support of those fighting the fight.2

Alpine Animal Hospital “Time to Ride”. We could use your help to see this continue. It has become increasingly difficult to find volunteers both of the equine and human variety to help Alpine Equine Hospital continue this. If you can help with horses or volunteer please reach out to Alpine Animal Hospital. This event has featured horseback rides for kids in a special pen, lessons on horse care, and the opportunity for questions and answers. The rides will be offered from 5:30 to 8:00. Riders need to be lined up by the riding pen near the picnic pavilion prior to 8:00. At 8:00, they will not be allowing anyone else to line up, so they can complete the riding activity for those lined up prior to 8:00. Chuck Maker, DVM and Sonia Marzec of Alpine Equine Hospital have graciously pulled together this special activity. Thank you also to Lisa Flynn of Aspen Riding Academy for providing the horses. Laura Martin and Lisa Nieslanik are on deck as well to bring horses if needed. This activity has been a favorite of kids at the rodeo and has brought many a smile to adults as well. Be sure and tell them how much you enjoy Time to Ride.
